Real Madrid midfielder Rodrygo signs new deal

Real Madrid midfielder Rodrygo Goes has penned a new contract.

Marca says Rodrygo has renewed his contract with Real Madrid until 2028, with a salary increase and a buyout clause of 1 billion euros.

The agreement was reached weeks ago and pen has now been put to paper.

There is no date for the announcement, which could even be delayed until after their summer tour.

The commitment, extending his original contract by three more seasons, rewards not only Rodrygo’s work and attitude, but also the tangible results of that progression: his end of the 2021/22 season was spectacular.

Since April, in the decisive stretch of the season, he scored seven goals and provided three assists in 13 appearances.
