Leicester City will have to pay more than £10 million in order to fire their manager this month. With one point from seven games, Leicester City are at the basement of the Premier League. Their most recent result was a 6-2 thrashing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, marking their worst start to a top-flight season in decades. According to The Mirror, if manager Brendan Rodgers is fired, Leicester will owe him an eight-figure amount. He has nearly three years left on his £200,000-per-week contract with the club.
While Leicester could put him on gardening leave to avoid paying the full amount all at once, they would have to fork out a significant sum unless Rodgers finds another high-paid job within months.
