Biaggio Ali Walsh, Muhammad Ali’s grandson, has signed a contract with the Professional Fighters League.

Biaggio Ali Walsh, the great-grandson of the famed boxer Muhammad Ali, has signed a contract with the PFL. The 24-year-old Ali Walsh will start as an amateur but will prepare to get up to the professional levels in 2023.

Ali Walsh started his fighting career in 2020 by getting ready at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. On the undercard of the 2022 PFL World Championship, he will make his PFL debut.

In a statement, Ali Walsh said he wanted to uphold the standards set forth for him by his grandfather and his brother, professional boxer Nico Ali Walsh.

I’m eager to step inside the PFL SmartCage “Ali Walsh read out her message. “I have a legacy to uphold—one that my grandpa started, one that my brother and I are carrying on—and I choose to do so in the Professional Fighters League. My one and only objective is to win the PFL World Championship one day.”

Ali Walsh was a standout high school football player at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas prior to entering the mixed martial arts world. Ali Walsh, a three-star recruit and the state’s eighth-ranked athlete in the 2017 signing class, won the Gatorade Player of the Year award in Nevada in 2015.

Prior to the 2019 season, Ali Walsh transferred from Cal, where he started his career.
